That is how much Jeanene Zweep won at the Captain’s draw last month and she was extremely emotional about the winnings.
The Captains draw was a resounding success last month. It was held after the local Ryder Cup which everyone that partook thoroughly enjoyed. A great thank you goes out to Derek for arranging the event and everyone else who assisted him in the process. The Blue team were victorious on the day and received the Ryder cup.
Mel Miller and Tony Stewart provided some light entertainment at the Captain’s draw and the feeling from the members is that this should be done on a more regular basis. Brian’s provided some specials on the evening and this was also a huge success.
Our club has been selected to host the 2018 South African Women’s Mid-Amateur Championships and we are extremely proud of this achievement.
All the league games are coming to an end and next month we will have a complete rundown of all the results from our teams and how we ended in the various leagues. Some teams are doing a lot better than others, but we wish the teams that are still playing all the best for their final games.
Bill Bailey has been released from hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him soon back at the club.
The joker draw is still in full swing every Wednesday evening at 17:30 and currently stands at R6700 your presence would be highly appreciated.
The rethatching of the lapa is now complete and I must say it is looking much better.
The Saturday morning field have decided to have a braai with the funds that have been collected during their fine’s meetings every Saturday morning. This braai will be held on the 3rd November and will be preceded by a fun golf morning with the Boere playing against the Engelse. This promises to be loads of fun, enjoy guys.
